MAFT moves to cushion three families in one week
Sports Reporter Philanthropic work by sport-oriented Masvingo Footballers Trust (MAFT) continues to grow in leaps and bounces as the Trust recently visited three families in Masvingo where they made cash donations aimed at cushioning the families who are facing different challenges currently. On Saturday, August 29, 2020, some of the MAFT board members paid a courtesy to the family of the former Chapungu football club (FC), Don Bosco FC, and Masvingo United FC player Edmore Ngara who is facing financial challenges arising from his ailing wife’s medical bills. Ngara who was affectionately known as Mbalo during his playing days received US$46 from MAFT after he had failed to source funds to buy some medical supplies needed for his wife. On the same day MAFT also visited and advanced a substantive cash donation to the family of former Zupco FC midfielder Israel Kandimire who has been bedridden since the first days of the COVID-19 national lockdown.
